Chris Anderson is a 20-year-old Alternative Singer-Songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland (UK). Influenced by a wide range of genres, including Singer-Songwriter, Hip-Hop, Folk, Rock and Alternative, the heavier acoustic style is a blend of classic Singer-Songwriter features with a darker, Alternative undertone, heavily shaped by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Stereophonics, and Snow Patrol. After years of playing in bands and finding the right sound, Chris decided to pursue being a singer-songwriter around 2013, playing small shows and going through stints of writing heavily over short periods of time. However, it wasn’t until mid 2018 that the push to release music hit.
His debut two-track single, ‘dark eyes’ was recorded and produced in the famous Gorbals Sound Studios in Glasgow, with friend and Studio Engineer Darryll McFadyen, Engineer to the likes of Biffy Clyro, Belle & Sebastian and Simple Minds. The single was released on the 27th of September 2018. 3 months later, came Chris’s second two-track single, ‘Lovers in Glasgow’, which was created in a single 8-hour-long studio session in Gorbals Sound Studios in December 2018.
